Who operates this site

This site is operated by The Baseline Podcast. For privacy questions or requests to access, correct or delete your information, contact us through the contact form.

Messages and stories

When you submit a form, we store your name, email, content, language and any publication permission in a private editorial inbox to review and respond. An editorial notification is sent using the configured email service. Submission does not publish your story or subscribe you to marketing. This site has no public comments or public file uploads.

Submissions are deleted 365 days after closure. Submissions still open 365 days after receipt are automatically closed and deleted 365 days later. Do not send unnecessary sensitive information. You may request deletion using the contact details above.

Necessary storage and media preferences

Forms use CSRF protection and necessary session storage. A time-limited hash of your network address is used to limit spam. Your browser stores versioned media preferences and a timestamp for up to 180 days. We do not use analytics or advertising tools.

No third-party players load before your permission. Provider approval applies across this site in the same browser. Approved players load as they approach the visible area while you browse, but never start playback automatically. Loading a player, even without starting playback, can send your IP address and browser information to that provider and allow storage under its policies; playback can also send activity information. If browser storage is blocked, your choice applies only to the current page. YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode does not eliminate data transfers. Following an external link takes you to another website with its own privacy practices.

Only YouTube players are embedded on this site. Spotify is available through external links; no Spotify player or SDK loads here.

Changing your choice

Turning YouTube off removes its players across this site, including other open tabs. It cannot undo data already sent or clear cookies on another website. Use the settings button at the top of this page. Return here through the Privacy link in any page's footer.

Operations and providers

YouTube and Instagram content is imported on our server through provider APIs without loading tracking code in your browser. Provider data and thumbnails are not displayed after 30 days without successful verification. Sync logs are retained for up to 30 days. Hosting, backup and email services may process information needed to operate the site. Server security logs may include network addresses and request information.
